Information: The goal of this award is to annually recognize an American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH) member who has dedicated his or her career to the advancement of hand surgery education. The worthy candidate will have demonstrated excellence in educating students, residents, and fellows as well as other hand surgeons.

- Has demonstrated a career dedicated to “excellence in education.”
- ASSH Active Member (>15 years).
- Must be nominated by a peer, former student, or any ASSH Member. An individual cannot nominate him or herself.

Information: The American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand (AFSH) will offer a $100,000 two-year clinical grant program with a rotating topic of interest, every two years. By rotating the topic, we hope to reach new investigators while emphasizing specific areas of interest in the field of hand and upper extremity.

- Principal Investigator (PI) or Co-PI must be an ASSH Active Member.
- PhD researchers with an ASSH Active Member sponsor may also apply.

Information: The Julian M. Bruner Award for Outstanding Poster was created in 2001 by Mrs. Winifred Bruner in memory of her husband through a grant to the American Foundation for Surgery of the Hand. The ASSH Scientific Displays Committee is responsible for reviewing all scientific posters and selecting the winner of the Bruner Award.
