Information: For the 4th consecutive year, the European Society of Digestive Oncology offers 5 Trainee Fellowships during the year 2017, supporting trainees in Digestive Oncology to spend at least 2 weeks at an ESDO certified training centre.
Specialty: Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Medical Oncolody.
Requirements:
- Applicants must be ESDO Member (providing their ESDO Member ID) or apply for ESDO membership.
- Applicants must be specialised in gastroenterology, medical oncology, general surgery or radiation oncology and must dispose of at least 3 years of clinical experience.
- Applicants must be under the age of 40 years.
- Applicants preferably come from a European country (for organisational reasons & cost-benefit ratio).
- Applicants must be proficient in English.

Visiting Fellowships for Clinicians from United European Gastroenterology

Information: UEG support 25 trainees in gastroenterology with Visiting Fellowships to spend two weeks at a renowned European training centre in 2017. With this programme, we aim to increase the interaction between young clinicians and prestigious European training centres, as well as to create new windows of clinical and scientific collaboration.Application is open until January 31, 2017.

Requirements: Applicants for the fellowship programme must
- Be clinicians (medical, surgical or imaging gastroenterologists and hepatologists)
- Be under 40 years of age (born on January 1, 1977 or later; add two years per child for main carer)
- Be fluent in English
- Reside in Europe or the Mediterranean area (countries that are bordering the Mediterranean Sea)
- Have completed at least one year of clinical training
- Successful candidates will be required to submit the following reporting documents within two months after their visit: Written report ( A4 page) and completed feedback form.
Once these documents are fully submitted, the candidates will receive free registration to the subsequent UEG Week.
Budget: grant of € 1,000, which will be transferred to the fellow’s bank account on the day of arrival in the centre (if the arrival falls on a bank holiday or weekend, the grant will be transferred on the following working day).
